Tamarind Kernel Powder

Tamarind Seeds contain 35% husk and 65% white kernel, these white kernels are used to produce various quality of tamarind starches based on customer requirement. The white kernels are rich in carbohydrates, proteins and fiber oils. These white kernels are further processed to extract oil which is around 7-9% and the de oiled cake is used in various other applications.

Starch content, Viscosity, Gum Concentration and other rheological properties are closely observed by various tests to maintain the quality of starch. Viscosity being the main parameter of Tamarind Starch Powder, we choose tamarind white kernel appropriately to maintain a uniform viscosity of the material.
